Rick's Driving School - Instructor Training
I can train you to become a fully qualified Driving Instructor.
To become a driving instructor you will need to pass three tests.
The theory test for potential driving instructors consists of 100 questions and a hazard perception test, to pass the test you will need to get an 85% pass on the questions (all categories need to be passed) and then you also need to score 57 out of a maximum 75 points on the hazard perception test.
The driving ability test lasts approximately an hour, you will need to achieve a high standard of driving and be able to perform all manoeuvres in a safe and controlled manner, these include parking, reversing, turning the car around and the controlled (emergency) stop.
You are only allowed a maximum of 6 driving faults.
The teaching ability test is quite simply what it says, you be asked to teach the examiner a 'pre set test', these tests consist of manoeuvres, approaching junctions, emerging at junctions, crossroads etc.
This part of the training normally takes at least 35 hours, there are three different ways of paying for this, see below.
